Your ship circles a glowing hub on one of three concentric rings, and you choose which lane to be in. Red gates sweep around the rings, so you have to switch lanes at the right moment to slip through the gaps. Green gems build your combo multiplier (up to x5), and every 600 points you hit a new level. Speed climbs steadily, the background shifts from cool blue to hot magenta, and at the end of each level the rings pulse and shrink, which makes the last stretch the hardest. Rare pink hearts restore a life, cyan shields let you punch through gates safely for a few seconds, and an occasional alien saucer drifts by to watch.
